Few battles during the 3:rd world war were more pointless than the clash at the isthmus of Svreta. Based on incorrect intelligence, suggesting that the Gaskni plant was being used to manufacture artillery ammunition, battalion after battalion where sent in to gain control over the thin strip of land connecting the Svreta peninsula to the mainland.
It is hard to analyze the outcome of the first phase of the war, had it not been for the Svreta incident that within half an hour had depleted the military resources of both sides in the entire region.
